Stratec technology

Stratec technology is Sciuker Frames’ patent technology that revolutionises the manufacturing process of aluminium-wood and structural glass-wood windows. The layered laminated wood ensures a better thermal conductivity, greater stability, homogeneity of veining and less weight. Stratec technology has been incorporated in all Sciuker's products except for Exo and Offline in which the micro-layered technology has been integrated.

Stratified laminated wood

This exclusive patented process allows to obtain a laminated product with 4 layers, the last one of which is made of fine wood species such as teak, zebrawood, durmast, cherry, oak and etc.

Diverse and unique colours and textures

There is a choice of 38 natural and unparalleled species and textures. The layered laminated wood ensures a better thermal conductivity, greater stability, homogeneity of veining and less weight.

Great mechanical strength and stability

These 4 layers of wood are combined through Finger Joint technology (patented by Sciuker Frames) which gives greater mechanical strength of the product. In the traditional manufacturing processes of wood the wood starts sagging whereas the Finger joint technology prevents that and allows wooden profiles of up to 5- 5.5 metres to be manufactured.

Homogeneity of the surface finish

Stratec also incorporates special ways of cutting the last ‘finishing’ layer. In traditional cutting process, in order to get the last surface layer, the log is cut in downwards direction whereas using the Stratec process the log is cut spirally. The latter gives homogeneity of the veining and provides aesthetics.
